The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says that with the support of its partners, it is providing vaccines, refrigerators, and cold chain equipment for health centers across Afghanistan.
UNICEF announced on Tuesday, September 29, on its X page that health workers in a clinic in Herat are preparing for children’s vaccination.
This organization says cold chain equipment will be provided to maintain and properly transport vaccines in Afghanistan’s health centers.
According to UNICEF, health workers play a role in protecting children from preventable diseases by providing vaccination services.
This comes as UNICEF has emphasized the importance of children’s access to vaccines and proper equipment, considering it essential for continuing vaccination services and preventing diseases.
