A group named the National Independence Front has claimed that its forces launched a rocket attack on a Taliban checkpoint in the Spin Shaga area of the Aryob Zazi district of Paktia province.

This front, in a statement, claimed that this attack was carried out at 6:00 on Tuesday night, September 29.

This front added that as a result of this attack, seven Taliban members were killed.

The National Independence Front stated that two Taliban Ranger vehicles were also completely destroyed and heavy damage was inflicted on this checkpoint.

The statement says that the National Independence Front forces returned to their positions after carrying out the operation without any harm.

The Taliban have not said anything about this so far.

This comes as the United Front of Afghanistan also attacked the Taliban governor’s office in Ghor today.
