Hossein Mohebbi, the spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has called Donald Trump, the President of the United States, a “big liar” and said that he hides the truth from the American people about Iran’s nuclear program and the extent of the impact of the energy blockade in the Persian Gulf.
According to a Reuters news agency report, the IRGC spokesman said on Tuesday, September 29, that America knows Iran is not seeking to build a nuclear weapon, and Washington’s problem is not with Iran’s nuclear program, but with the “expansion” of this program, which America wants to destroy.
He also rejected America’s claim about the reduction of Iran’s leverage over the Strait of Hormuz.
Mohebbi said that a small ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz at great cost and risk does not mean this route is open.
According to data from the company “Kepler” cited by Reuters, oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz increased in September and are expected to reach nearly 10 million barrels per day; a figure that is about half of the pre-war export level.
