Nicolas Blomme, the Head of the European Union Delegation in Afghanistan, has announced that he has officially begun his work in this position.
Blomme wrote on Tuesday, September 29, on his account on the social media platform X that he is starting his new mission with the same enthusiasm as always and with pride to represent the interests and values of the European Union in Afghanistan.
It is worth noting that the European Union introduced Nicolas Blomme as the interim chargé d’affaires of the union in Afghanistan on June 3 of this year.
Before him, Veronika Boskovic Pohar held the responsibility of chargé d’affaires of the European Union Delegation in Kabul.
Blomme now begins his responsibility as head of the European Union Delegation in Afghanistan while the union continues its diplomatic activities and humanitarian aid in Afghanistan through its delegation in Kabul.
