The United Nations Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (UN STFA) has announced Norway’s $2.6 million donation to this fund.

The fund announced on Monday, September 28  on the social media platform X that this aid has been allocated to strengthen cooperation among UN agencies in Afghanistan.

According to this announcement, the new financial resources will be used to address common priorities and support humanitarian and development programs in Afghanistan.

The Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan has expressed gratitude for Norway’s support and said that the continuation of this support provides the ground for delivering more services to the people of Afghanistan.

This comes as Norway is among the countries supporting UN programs in Afghanistan, and this aid has been announced while humanitarian needs in the country continue to be reported as extensive.
