The Afghanistan Freedom Front has claimed responsibility for an attack on the Taliban in Badakhshan province, saying that as a result of the incident, three of the group’s fighters were killed.
The front, in a newsletter published on X, said that its forces attacked a vehicle full of Taliban fighters near the group’s Directorate of Mines in Faizabad city, the capital of Badakhshan province, around 9:45 AM on Monday, September 28 (Mizan 6).
The newsletter states that as a result of this attack, three Taliban fighters were killed and two others were wounded.
The Freedom Front stated that its forces were not harmed during this attack.
Previously, sources in conversation with Tolo News had reported hearing the sound of an explosion in the Jalghar area of Faizabad city.
This incident occurred simultaneously with increasing pressure from anti-Taliban fronts against the group.
