Nasir Ahmad Faiq, the acting Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations, has said that the people of Afghanistan should not pay the price for the policies of the Taliban and Pakistan toward the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
On Tuesday, the 31st of Sunbula (September 22), Faiq condemned all terrorist acts and actions that lead to civilian casualties, whether by terrorist groups or under the guise of fighting terrorism.
He said that a sustainable fight against terrorism in Afghanistan requires the establishment of a legitimate, accountable, and committed government.
According to Faiq, the fight against terrorism must be conducted with respect for international law, international humanitarian law, and Afghanistan’s territorial integrity.
The acting head of Afghanistan’s mission to the UN emphasized that establishing an accountable government is a shared responsibility, and civilians should not be harmed as a result of policies and actions related to terrorism.
