Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said during a press briefing that the Islamic Republic of Iran still does not have the necessary readiness to reach an agreement.

On Thursday, the 26th of Sunbula, he emphasized that if an agreement is reached, it must be, from America’s perspective, a suitable and desirable one.

In part of his remarks, Trump claimed that Iran’s ability to obtain a nuclear weapon has been eliminated.

He considered the use of B-2 bombers effective in this regard and said that if this action had not been taken, Iran could have continued on the path to obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The US President, also referring to the decades-long history of tension between Washington and Tehran, added that from his perspective, the Islamic Republic remains one of the governments in the world facing the harshest criticism.

Trump went on to describe Iran’s current situation as “very weak” and said that Iran’s economic conditions have also severely deteriorated.

He noted: “I think they are in a state of collapse.”

Donald Trump also claimed regarding Iran’s economic conditions that the inflation rate in the country has exceeded 300 percent, and that paying the salaries of military and police forces has faced problems.

Referring to this set of conditions, Trump described Iran’s current situation as unprecedented.

Another part of Trump’s remarks was devoted to the Strait of Hormuz.

He claimed that American forces have control over this strategic route, and during night operations, a large number of ships are targeted.

The US President stated that the opposing side’s radars have been disabled, and for this reason, they are unable to observe American forces.

Later in the press briefing, a journalist asked Trump whether there is a possibility of deploying more forces, or whether he is still hopeful of reaching an agreement.

In response, Trump said that America will ultimately win, but it is not clear whether this result will come through an agreement or in another way.

He added that from his perspective, America is already advancing and winning, and will ultimately reach the desired result.
