The Meteorological Department of the Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Aviation has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and flash floods in 10 provinces of Afghanistan.
The department, in a newsletter, said this weather condition is forecast for Monday, 23 Sunbula (September 14), in the provinces of Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Kapisa, Panjshir, Parwan, Nangarhar, Logar, Paktia, and Khost.
According to the newsletter, rainfall levels in different parts of these provinces will range between 10 and 35 millimeters, and there is a possibility of flash floods in some areas.
The Meteorological Department has also reported the possibility of strong winds accompanied by dust in the central, southeastern, and eastern provinces of the country.
The speed of these winds is forecast between 50 and 90 kilometers per hour in different areas, and residents of the warned regions have been asked to exercise caution during this weather condition.
