Hamid Karzai, former President of Afghanistan, has strongly condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes on parts of Kunar and Paktika provinces.

Karzai said on Monday, September 21 , in reaction to these attacks, that as a result, a number of Afghan citizens were killed and wounded, and he considered this action a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty under Taliban control.

He expressed sympathy with the families of the victims and wished recovery for the wounded.

The former President of Afghanistan considered Pakistan’s current security problems to be the result of that country’s misguided policies toward Afghanistan and asked Islamabad to review its policies and adopt the path of good neighborliness, good relations, and civilized engagement with Afghanistan under Taliban control.

Taliban officials say that Pakistani fighter jets targeted areas in Kunar and Paktika provinces in airstrikes, as a result of which three members of one family were killed and four others were wounded in Kunar.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban, has condemned Pakistan’s attacks on Kunar and Paktika provinces.
