The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it summoned the chargé d’affaires of the Pakistani embassy in Kabul and conveyed its official protest to him following the Freedom Front forces’ attempt to cross the Durand Line along the Kamdesh district of Nuristan province.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday, September 29, in a newsletter that Freedom Front forces and “ISIS individuals” tried to enter the Kamdesh area of Nuristan through the Durand Line and engage in “destructive activities.”

This ministry has claimed that Taliban security forces prevented their entry.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also accused Pakistan of providing the ground for recruiting, organizing, training, and equipping anti-Taliban forces in areas under its control and pushing them toward the Durand Line with the “direct guidance” of the Pakistani army.

In this newsletter, the Taliban have considered these actions a “violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan” under the group’s control and warned that the continuation of such actions and their consequences will be the responsibility of the Pakistani government.

It is worth noting that Freedom Front forces have had intense clashes with Taliban fighters in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan for several days now.

Both sides claim to have inflicted casualties on each other.
