The Taliban group has reported the deportation of 253 Afghan migrant families, comprising 1,135 people, to Afghanistan.

Hamdullah Fitrat, the Taliban spokesman, said on Tuesday, September 29, that these migrants entered the country yesterday through various border routes.

According to him, 53 families comprising 294 people entered Afghanistan through Torkham in Nangarhar, and 11 families comprising 53 people through the Spin Boldak route in Kandahar.

Fitrat added that 165 families comprising 705 people were deported to the country through the Silk Bridge in Nimroz, and another 24 families comprising 83 people through the Islam Qala crossing in Herat.

The deportation of these migrants continues as, in recent months, a large number of Afghan migrants have returned to the country from neighboring countries.
