After the Afghanistan Freedom Front announced that clashes between its forces and Taliban fighters in Kamdesh District of Nuristan Province began on the morning of Saturday, September 26, and continued until the time of publication.

In contrast, sources and media close to the Taliban have claimed that Taliban special forces near the Durand Line in Nuristan have thwarted a joint conspiracy among “Pakistani forces, ISIS, and an opposition group.”

According to this claim, individuals from these groups intended to enter the area through Kamdesh District and create “insecurity.”

Sources close to the Taliban claim that during the clashes, dozens of individuals from these groups were killed, wounded, or arrested.

Meanwhile, in a newsletter from the Freedom Front on the social media platform X, it is stated that Taliban fighters, using ground forces and several drones, attacked the positions of Freedom Front forces in Kamdesh.

However, so far, no independent information has been published about the number of casualties, the identity of those involved, or how this clash began, and the narratives of the two sides about this event differ from each other.
