The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has announced that Saleh Mohammad Registani has been appointed by Ahmad Massoud, the leader of this front, as the “General Operational Commander of the Military Staff of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan.”

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan said on Tuesday, the 22nd of September, in a statement that this appointment was made in order to better organize military affairs, strengthen coordination within the military staff structure, and in consideration of Saleh Mohammad Registani’s background, experience, and responsibilities.

Ahmad Massoud has asked all officials, commanders, and relevant departments of the Resistance Front to have the necessary cooperation and coordination with Registani within the framework and regulations of this organization.

This comes as the Resistance Front released a video clip of Registani the previous day.

In that video clip, Registani had said that he is present in the Hindu Kush mountains.
