Sami Sadat, leader of the United Front of Afghanistan, has awarded the rank of Brigadier General to Abdul Basir Achakzai, a commander of this front.
Sami Sadat, in a message published on X on Thursday, September 24, praised the services and struggles of this commander against the Taliban.
He stated that this recognition was given in appreciation of Abdul Basir Achakzai’s services in protecting and supporting Afghanistan’s security and defense forces, as well as the successful and effective operations of forces under his command in the freedom-seeking struggle against the “Taliban regime.”
In this note, Sami Sadat emphasized that five brothers of Commander Achakzai have been “martyred in defense of the homeland,” and his family has made a great sacrifice for freedom.
Sadat also published photos of the ceremony awarding this rank.
This comes as the United Front has consistently claimed attacks on the Taliban in various parts of the country in recent months.
