The United Front of Afghanistan has announced that one Taliban member was killed as a result of an ambush in Jawand district of Badghis province.

The front said on Tuesday night, the 22nd of September, on its X page that its forces carried out an operation in the area of “Dahana Kocha and Kham Jangal” in this district.

According to the United Front’s statement, one Taliban fighter was targeted and killed in this operation. The front did not specify the exact time of the incident.

These claims come as in recent weeks, anti-Taliban groups have reported an increase in their attacks in a number of areas of Afghanistan.
