Taliban officials say that Pakistani fighter jets targeted areas in Kunar and Paktika provinces in airstrikes, as a result of which three members of one family were killed and four others were wounded in Kunar.

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban, confirming these attacks, said that Pakistani fighter jets targeted a residential house in the “Patn” village of Nurgal district in Kunar around 2:30 AM on Monday, September 21 (Sunbula 20).

According to him, in this incident, three members of one family were killed and four others were wounded.

Fitrat added that around 4:00 AM, areas of Barmal district in Paktika province were also targeted by airstrikes.

Media affiliated with the Taliban have reported that in these attacks, an empty shop in the “Tor Kandi” area and an old, uninhabited house in the “Rakha” area were completely destroyed.

Pakistan has so far shown no reaction to this incident.

These attacks come as Pakistan has witnessed insecurity in various parts of the country in recent days.
