The United Front of Afghanistan announced that it has killed a Taliban fighter in Badakhshan province.

The front wrote on its X page on Wednesday night, 25 Sunbula, that this Taliban member was killed in a targeted operation in the Dasht-e-Ara area, part of the Tagab district.

According to the United Front, after this incident, one Kalashnikov rifle, some equipment, and documents related to the killed individual also fell into the hands of the front’s forces.

The United Front had also reported the killing of a Taliban fighter in Kandahar province the previous day; claims about which no independent details have been published.

These claims are made as, in recent months, reports of increased attacks by anti-Taliban groups in parts of Afghanistan have been published.
