{"id":63,"date":"2026-09-16T17:28:39","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T17:28:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/taneen.tv\/en\/?p=63"},"modified":"2026-09-16T17:28:39","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T17:28:39","slug":"1206-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taneen.tv\/en\/1206-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Joint Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Light Industry Exhibition Opens in Termez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The first joint light industry exhibition of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan has opened in the city of Termez, with the participation of Taliban and Uzbek officials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The Taliban&#8217;s Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a newsletter on Wednesday, September 16 (25 Sunbula), that the exhibition was held to expand economic, trade, and manufacturing cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Nooruddin Azizi, Taliban Minister of Industry and Commerce, said at the opening ceremony that relations between the group and Tashkent have developed in recent years in trade, transit, and economic sectors, and efforts are now underway to move this cooperation from goods exchange to investment and joint production.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">He described Afghanistan as having significant capacities in sectors such as carpets, textiles, clothing, leather products, food industries, and processed agricultural products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">According to him, Uzbekistan also has capacities in production, technology, textiles, machinery, and processing that can complement Afghanistan&#8217;s capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The exhibition emphasized holding trade meetings between businessmen of both countries and providing the ground for trade contracts and joint investment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Also on the sidelines of the exhibition, a cooperation agreement was signed between Afghanistan&#8217;s Ghazanfar Bank and Uzbekistan&#8217;s Commodity Exchange &#8220;UzEx.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Under this agreement, traders can pay 10 percent of the value of goods into their account at Ghazanfar Bank when purchasing and complete the remaining 90 percent after the goods are ready.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The Taliban&#8217;s Ministry of Industry and Commerce says this agreement can facilitate the transaction process between traders of both countries and pave the way for Uzbek traders to purchase Afghan products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The first joint Afghanistan-Uzbekistan light industry exhibition will run for three days, with more than 100 booths displaying products such as carpets, saffron, precious and semi-precious stones, handicrafts, cotton, dried fruits, and Afghan clothing alongside Uzbek manufactured products.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first joint light industry exhibition of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan has opened in the city of Termez, with the participation of Taliban and Uzbek officials&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":64,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_FSMCFIC_featured_image_caption":"","_FSMCFIC_featured_image_nocaption":"","_FSMCFIC_featured_image_hide":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-63","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-afghanistan"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Joint Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Light Industry Exhibition Opens in Termez - Taneen<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"First Afghanistan-Uzbekistan light industry exhibition opens in Termez.
