An imposed and forced life has been written for them, in which they have been deprived of their most basic fundamental rights \u2014 education, work, political participation, and presence in society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">I think that in such circumstances, addressing the situation of women \u2014 narrating, writing, and recording the experiences and memories of these days of Afghan women \u2014 can be very helpful. It is helpful both for the women themselves, as it is in fact a kind of healing \u2014 writing about the pains, experiences, deprivations, and even the psychological and emotional concerns they deal with today \u2014 and it also displays a picture of the current situation of Afghan women for the future and for coming generations. Storytelling in such a time is a commitment and an obligation, and writing about the current situation, as one of the fundamental principles of historical narration, can be helpful in the future for introducing, describing, and explaining the today&#8217;s situation of Afghan women.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Writing about the current state of the lives of Afghan girls and women in the shadow of oppression, repression, and deliberate subordination is a kind of commitment and obligation for writers and those who engage in literature, who write and in fact record history. It can also act as a helping and supportive force for the women inside Afghanistan themselves, who experience these deprivations every day, and can be useful in their psychological and emotional relief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">If we want to address history as an objective and realistic picture, we can refer to the past \u2014 to the literary works, poems, stories, and narratives that have been left to us from the past. The eras and times that the people of that period experienced, and the events that happened to them, can be clearly seen in these works, and one can gain awareness of the state of social, economic, and political developments of that time. Therefore, if we want to record this period, preserve it, and introduce it more to future generations, it is better for us to take up the pen, write, and narrate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Especially in circumstances where restrictions have become so extensive that even writing is no longer considered a safe space, and writers and those who write in these fields \u2014 who write about women, their deprivations, and their concerns \u2014 face censorship; their books are taken out of reach and removed from libraries. This itself is another injustice committed against women and writers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Nevertheless, I think that virtual spaces can now be helpful and provide a relatively suitable platform for conveying the experiences and bitter memories of today&#8217;s Afghan women. At least let us use these spaces, and let each of us, as a commitment and a responsibility, address this issue \u2014 let us write and narrate so that history does not forget, and so that future generations do not forget what happened to Afghan women; in an era when the world is stepping toward progress, becoming more modern every day and achievements increasing, yet Afghan women, in the heart of this very progress, technology, and science, have been left behind from education, from going to school and university.
