{"id":1099,"date":"2026-09-28T11:16:02","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T11:16:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/taneen.tv\/en\/?p=1099"},"modified":"2026-09-30T12:02:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T12:02:18","slug":"1363","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taneen.tv\/en\/1363\/","title":{"rendered":"WHO Reports 68,000 People Gained Access to Health Services in Nangarhar and Laghman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that with financial support from the Italian government, thousands of families in Nangarhar and Laghman provinces have gained access to primary and essential health services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The organization said on Tuesday, September 22, that until September 2026, a total of 68,263 people, including returnees, have benefited from the health services of this program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">According to the report, the services provided included maternal and child healthcare, vaccination, nutrition screening, mental health services, and outpatient treatments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">The World Health Organization also said that with Italy&#8217;s financial support, it provides technical and operational support to seven primary healthcare centers in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">These centers operate in areas where people&#8217;s access to health services still faces challenges and cover vulnerable families.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Edwin Ceniza Salvador, WHO&#8217;s representative in Afghanistan, said families far from major cities need access to health services at centers near where they live.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">He added that this support helps health centers continue providing essential services to people, including returnees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">This comes as the World Health Organization has expressed gratitude to the Italian government for supporting the continuation of primary health services for vulnerable communities in Nangarhar, Laghman, and other areas of Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that with financial support from the Italian government, thousands of families in Nangarhar and Laghman provinces have gained..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":1100,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_FSMCFIC_featured_image_caption":"","_FSMCFIC_featured_image_nocaption":"","_FSMCFIC_featured_image_hide":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1099","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-afghanistan"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.8 -
