Amrullah Saleh, former Vice President of Afghanistan, in reaction to Saleh Mohammad Registani’s return to the Hindu Kush, has described him as a symbol of “courage and sacrifice.”
Saleh wrote in a post on his Facebook page on Monday, September 21, that Registani was previously known as a figure with a “jihadi and resistance background,” but his renewed presence in the Hindu Kush and joining the armed struggle demonstrates the will to continue this path.
Saleh added that “the foundation of any struggle is will,” and Registani, by returning to the battlefield, has traveled a long path.
These remarks come after the release of a video of Saleh Mohammad Registani in which he announces his renewed presence in the Hindu Kush and the continuation of the activities of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan.
In this video clip, Registani describes armed struggle as one of the ways to confront the Taliban.
He is also wearing military uniform.
