The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it summoned Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires in Kabul following that country’s airstrikes on Kunar and Paktika provinces.

This ministry said in a newsletter published on Monday, September 21, that the Taliban handed over its letter of protest to Pakistan’s chargé d’affaires in Kabul regarding the “violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and attack on civilian areas in Kunar and Paktika.”

The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the Pakistani army’s attacks a “clear violation of Afghanistan’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity” and strongly condemned them.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan carried out airstrikes on Kunar and Paktika this morning.

The Taliban say that as a result of this incident, three civilians were killed in Kunar.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed these attacks and claimed that 28 “terrorists” were killed as a result.
