Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the Taliban’s Defense Minister, met and held talks with Hamad bin Khamis Al-Kubaisi, Deputy of Qatar’s National Security Council, and his accompanying delegation.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense said in a newsletter published on Wednesday night, 25 Sunbula, that the meeting took place in Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid’s office.

According to the newsletter, the two sides discussed the continuation and strengthening of relations between the Taliban and Qatar in various sectors.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense added that the two sides emphasized the expansion of cooperation in various fields and assured the continuation of this cooperation.

No further details were provided about the axes of this cooperation. This meeting comes after the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior also reported the meeting of Sirajuddin Haqqani with a joint intelligence delegation from Turkey and Qatar.
