The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has claimed that following clashes between the ministry’s forces and groups in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan, 28 people were killed and 32 others were arrested.

The ministry said on Sunday, September 27, in a statement that a number of individuals, supported and encouraged by “Pakistani militias,” had moved from across the Durand Line toward the Kamdesh district of Nuristan.

The statement said that Taliban’s security and defense forces launched an operation in response to this action, and during the clash, 28 opposing individuals were killed and 32 others were arrested alive.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense added that a number of other individuals fled back to the centers of “Pakistani militias” across the Durand Line after the clash.

The ministry claimed that among these individuals were also “Pakistani militias, Pakistani arbakis, and ISIS members,” but according to the ministry, they left the area at the beginning of the clash.

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense also claimed that most of the individuals mentioned in this operation were former Afghan government military personnel who, after being transferred to Pakistan, received military training in camps established by the Pakistani army and intelligence, and were then sent to Nuristan.

The statement also called on regional countries to pay attention to what the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense called “the transfer of insecurity from Pakistan to other countries.”

At the end, the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense called on Afghan youth and former military personnel who, according to the ministry, have fallen into the trap of Pakistani intelligence, to refrain from cooperating with opponents and to contact the ministry’s security and defense forces near the Durand Line.

This comes as the Freedom Front announced yesterday the beginning of its clashes with the Taliban in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan.

In its latest statement, the front said that the Taliban attacked the positions of Freedom Front forces in Kamdesh using infantry forces and drones, but retreated after suffering casualties.
