Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban, has confirmed Pakistan’s airstrike on Kandahar.

Mujahid said on Thursday, 24th of September, 2026 (Thursday), in an interview with the media that this Pakistani airstrike caused no casualties.

He added that this airstrike was carried out around 3:00 AM, and Pakistani forces targeted a desert area in Kandahar.

Local sources in Kandahar said hours earlier that the sound of a very loud airstrike was heard in parts of this province.

According to the sources, this attack was carried out on the “Sarai Mullah Sahib” area, where, according to them, the Taliban’s special units known as “Fidaiyan,” responsible for protecting the Taliban leader, are stationed.
